People are helping in lots of different ways. donations aren't just monetary.
PLEASE FIND A WAY THAT YOU CAN HELP CHANGE LIVES.
Reach Out To The Child helps funds 3 After school clubs, Pyscho Social Workshops and have a hand in funding
and constructing many house builds. We often send funds out to Mseleni, so our friends out there can use said funds
to facilitate help to as many immediate needs as possible.
Youth Team Fund
£5600 had been raised to help fund the trip for young
people to visit Mseleni in 2020, unfortunately due to COVID-19
the trip has had to be postponed. We really want to get a younger team out to South Africa, there is so much good work we could be completing with younger, fitter team. Not only will the experience change
the young peoples lives, but facilitate the change of many lives in South Africa, many of them the same age.

House builds
Although we built a house in 2011, it is not our forte. We now work closely with Chris Connors of Coco's Foundation. Chris is well set up in South Africa and builds about a dozen houses a year normally. When we want to build a house, then we donate the funds to Co Cos Foundation. We have done this several times over the past years and have visited the families before and after we provided a house.
FOOD PARCELS
Every time we go to South Africa we spend time travelling around the community, guided by a social worker from Lulisandla Kumntwana (LK). They show us families in dire need of housing and food. We always go out with half a dozen food parcels in the car. A food parcel, costing about £30 comprises the following -
-
Large bags maize, flour, nuts and rice
-
Bars of soap and soap powder
-
Cooking oil
-
Candles
-
Cans of Tinned fish
-
Stock cubes
This can feed an average family for about a month.
Our '£1 A month for life' enables many food parcels to be delivered. Please consider just donating £1, a month, for life.
SCHOOL UNIFORM
Gernerally, a child can't attend school unless he/she has a uniform. We send money to LK so that they can provide uniforms. When we are at After Schools Clubs or a Psycho Social Workshop we often see children without proper uniform. In 2019 we noticed several children in this category - one lad had ONE shoe and ONE flip-flop. We were able to kit out 5 children with jumper, shirt, trousers/skirt, underwear, socks and shoes. Plus a trendy looking rucksack.
