In 2020 we planned to build a house, with the help of others, paid for by ROTTC. We would have visited the 3 “After School Clubs” that ROTTC funds and we would have participated in a 3 day Psycho Social Workshop for orphans and vulnerable children in which we would teach Bible stories and Christian songs and undertake craft activities. In between times we would have visited people in the community and delivered food parcels and probably identified some children that were desperate for a school uniform. All of this would have been funded by ROTTC. We now hope and plan to do all this in 2022. However we believed the house was urgently needed and therefore we sent out the appropriate funds that'll allow the construction of the house. As soon as the Covid-19 situation becomes clearer, we will re-evaluate our next visit.
During Covid-1 raising further funds has been difficult. We have had to cancel our fundraising events, both for ROTTC funds and for the young people’s fund. However, donations are received monthly by standing order and we now have ideas of how we can continue fundraising. Increased giving via standing order would help the on-going work of ROTTC considerably.
£5600 had been raised to help fund the trip for young people to visit Mseleni, unfortunately due to COVID-19 the trip has had to be postponed to 2023.
